Transfer Students
Partnership Agreements for Transfer Students
To make transfer from the community college to UTC as seamless as possible, the College of Engineering and Computer Science has worked with community colleges in the region to develop plans, so students know exactly what classes to take. Use these plans to complete an associate’s degree at a community college and transfer to UTC to complete your bachelor’s degree.
Participating Colleges:
- Pellissippi State Community College
- Enterprise State Community College
- Lee University
- Motlow State Community College
- Chattanooga State Community College
- Cleveland State Community College
- Dalton State College
- Covenant College
Which Classes Transfer?
If you have completed or are planning to complete college-level courses at another school, use this link to gain access to the Transfer Evaluation Self Service. This will allow you to understand how those classes will transfer to UTC and apply toward a selected degree program.
Current UTC students seeking to have a transfer course pre-approved may use the information listed here to request the appropriate department at UTC review a course equivalency.

Transfer students on a Tennessee Transfer Pathway (TTP) should work closely with their advisor before scheduling classes. Please email the advisor from your participating school to schedule an advising appointment to learn more about your next steps.
*Although it is possible to complete the B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in four semesters after earning the associate’s degree, students typically need five or six semesters to complete requirements.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science supports programs in engineering, computer science, and engineering technology management. Below is a list of these degrees and links to the ClearPath Showcase for each degree:
