Daily Crime Logs
Clery Act Daily Crime, Fire and Arrest Log
This log lists all the crimes reported to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Police Department (UTCPD) within the last 60 days.
If you would like to see records beyond 60 days you must contact the Clery Compliance Coordinator at 423-425-5961 or [email protected].
UTCPD assigns a case number for all reported activities, both criminal and non-criminal. Only case numbers generated for criminal activities are listed in the Clery Act Daily Crime & Fire Log. Reported crimes are listed in the order that they are received; therefore, the case numbers are not listed sequentially. If no crime was reported on a certain date or if the reported incident is not considered a crime, the date will not be displayed or the incident will not be listed here.
Note: The crime log offense classification will not match the crime statistics reported in the Annual Security Report, as the crime log is compiled using definitions provided by the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program, the National Incident-Based Reporting System Data Collection Guidelines, the Uniform Crime Reporting Hate Crime Data Collection Guidelines and Training Manual, and the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 as required by the Clery Act, as well as the Tennessee Annotated Code crime categories and definitions.

The Tennessee “College and University Security Information Act” Arrest Log
The Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) describes the means by which colleges and universities in the State of Tennessee must publish particularly pertinent campus information along with reporting campus crimes to the TBI. A requirement of this law is the publication of an Arrest Log. In compliance with TCA’s College and University Security Information Act, §49-7-2206, this is a chronological log of all crimes against persons or property reported to the UTCPD in which an arrest has been made. This log has been combined with the Crime and Fire Log. The UTCPD is required to keep and maintain this log daily.
Each entry in the log must contain the date, time and general location of the crime and, if an arrest has been made, the names and City/State of all persons arrested and charges against the persons arrested.
